** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1554652 nautilus-share broken with libpam-smbpass removed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus-share in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396723 Title: cannot connect to share with username and password Status in nautilus-share package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After configuring a share in my home folder with nautilus, I cannot connect to the share with my username and password. Steps to reproduce (fresh install): 1) open nautilus 2) configure share, uncheck "guest access" 3) click "browse network" down left 4) go to your computer, try to connect to the newly created share 5) login with the username and password of your account Expected Behaviour: you can login and see the share Behaviour I get: Access Denied If I check guest access, I can connect as guest. I think this has something to do with your user not being a samba user. Adding myself as a samba user in system-config-samba solves the problem.
