Title: I get two characters in Activities when I press one key for the first key I press... Status in GNOME Shell: Unknown Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: If I click the Activities in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then do NOT click in the search bar and begin to type, I get two of whatever character I hit. At first I thought it was due to my keyboard wearing out, but it happens on multiple computers, and whatever key I type, even infrequently used ones. If I click in the search bar before I type, then the characters are not duplicated. If I then backspace over the single character that was correctly displayed in the search bar and type another character, that character is doubled. Bounce keys will not eliminate this either. I started noticing doubling characters a couple of weeks (approximately) ago. I didn't start to suspect the real reason until recently. Thanks for working on this for all of us!
