Title:
opening application steals focus from authenticate window

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
When the authentication window is up asking for my password (for
something that requires root privileges), another application opening
up can steal focus from the authentication window without warning and
take the password keystrokes that were meant for the authentication
  window.

If the opening application happens to be a browser with an
autocomplete search field, every password keystroke immediately gets
sent over the internet without waiting for the enter key.

If the authentication window has focus (especially if the password
field has focus), nothing else should be able to steal focus away from
  it.

  Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
  Cinnamon desktop
