To be clear in my opinion it is not a problem of Virtualbox, since I run over 15 modern Linux distros in Virtualbox VMs and none has the same issue. That is true for Fedora 35 and 36 Beta also with Gnome 42. No problems with Ubuntu 20.04, Xubuntu 22.04; Ubuntu Budgie 22.04, Ubuntu Mate 22.04, Peppermint 11; Linux Mint 20.3 etc etc.
