Title:
Ubunt 22.04 does not give the option to select Wayland on login
  screen.

Status in gdm3 package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Bug description:
Hardware: a hybrid laptop, Nvidia dedicated GPU (Geforce 1050) and a
integrated GPU (AMD Vega).

Just did a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 install and ran the Software Updater.
After rebooting, in the login screen, there is no option to select a
Wayland session (the gear icon is missing). The settings in Gnome
  shows a Xorg 11 session.

There is already a bug reporting this, but it is marked as fixed and
  it is clearly not fixed.
