Thanks for the bug report. Please start by removing unsupported extensions:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell rm -rf extensions and then log in again. If the leak still occurs after that then please run: ps auxw > ps.txt and attach the resulting text file here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1977466 Title: Memory leak Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: /usr/bin/gnome-shell -> using 30% of RAM ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: gnome-shell 3.36.9-0ubuntu0.20.04.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.13.0-44.49~20.04.1-generic 5.13.19 Uname: Linux 5.13.0-44-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: zfs zunicode zavl icp zcommon znvpair ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.24 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Thu Jun 2 22:31:50 2022 DisplayManager: gdm3 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-06-28 (339 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04.2.0 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20210209.1) RelatedPackageVersions: mutter-common 3.36.9-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1977466/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
