Public bug reported: Hello, unfortunately I am not familiar with Ubuntu anymore since a decade so hopefully I'm filing this bug correctly (I am using ubuntu-bug which reportbug recommended to me); that said, my problem is...
The name-brand computer in the topic is almost perfectly Linux* compatible, except for the fact the conventional green audio socket on the back is not detected; however, the rear inputs (mic & line) as well as the front jack (combo headphone+mic, only tested the former) do in fact work fine! * The problem also manifests in Devuan Chimaera (5.10 and 5.18) and Fedora I am willing to cooperate in testing if you need to!
