Yes, it happens with any folder under my home folder, including the
'Downloads' one.

I'm using stock Ubuntu with the default Gnome shell.

This is an upgraded system since at least 18.04, via 20.04.

  1) Ubuntu 22.04 fully updated
  2) Firefox snap id 3wdHCAVyZEmYsCMFDE9qt92UV8rC8Wdk
  3) I expect being able to save a file to folders in my home folder or in a 
usb drive
  4) When selecting a plugged-in USB drive or the home folder I can save, once 
I enter a subfolder the "save" button in the save dialog gets greyed out.
