Public bug reported: The gnome-shell built-in screencast recorder doesn't currently (43.0-1ubuntu2/lunar) record audio. According to this comment:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/5524#note_1465711 enabling audio recording only requires changing a parameter via dbus. If the change is not invasive I believe it should be done by default in Ubuntu. Note that Kazam is not functional on Wayland, which means that >= Jammy currently lacks a well integrated audio+video screencast recording tool. ** Affects: gnome-shell Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues #5524 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/5524 ** Also affects: gnome-shell via https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/5524 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Description changed: The gnome-shell built-in screencast recorder doesn't currently (43.0-1ubuntu2/lunar) record audio.
