It's not that simple because developers are not seeing the bug and so can't test solutions. It's also not common enough that users are reporting it very often either.
Ubuntu 22.10 has now been released with the relevant code rewritten and also moved between projects. So once people agree it's fixed in 22.10, and there's sufficient demand to get a fix in earlier releases then we can consider who might be willing to do and to test patches/reverts. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970031 Title: Grey (gray) appears as pink in Ubuntu 22.04 Status in GNOME Settings Daemon: New Status in GNOME Shell: New Status in gnome-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Grey (gray) appears as pink in Ubuntu 22.04 WORKAROUND: Settings > Colour > YOUR MONITOR = OFF ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: i have GPU: NVIDIA GeForce MX150, instead of the usual gray color, my monitor started showing a gray-pink color.
