Title:
Mouse input latency in Wayland sessions is too high

Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This is a regression that came with the change from Xorg to Wayland.
It's particularly bad for playing fast-paced games, such as first-
person shooters. The pointer tracking has a small but significant
delay, which cannot be reproduced on the Xorg session.
