Public bug reported:

Observed behaviour:
I press <Ctl>+<Shift>+<PrtScn> and then select an area of the screen to take a
screenshot of. There is a subtle "flash" on screen as if the action was
completed successful, but when inspecting the ~/Pictures folder, no new image
is present.
Capturing an entire screen or everything using <Alt>+<PrtScn> or just <PrtScn>
works.

Expected behaviour: When pressing <Ctl>+<Shift>+<PrtScn> and selecting a
part of the screen, an image should appear under ~/Pictures showing the
contents of the selected part of the screen.

Repeatibility: always

Workarounds: take a snapshot of the entire screen and then use an image
editor to crop it.
