Gabriel, I will try what you suggested. By the way, I have been using Ubuntu Studio 11.10 and ever since this problem started, I switched to Banshee in order to listen to music. In prior Ubuntu Studio releases (11.04 and older) I didn't have this problem. I already tried the update option and that didn't work, so now I'll try the re-installation idea. I'll post something here as soon as I find out if the Re-Installation works or not. Thanx
