I suspect the "conflict" is just ALSA device usage at runtime, so
doesn't need to be declared as an install-time conflict.

Package vanilla-gnome-desktop 0.97 depends on pulseaudio which
conflicts with pipewire-alsa and pipewire-audio which in turn are
required for upgrading gnome to version 43.
