I tried to debug.

using 
> G_DEBUG="all" NAUTILUS_DEBUG="All" nautilus . 
lead to instant crash

Using
> NAUTILUS_DEBUG="All" nautilus .
nothing of value was visible, same bug

Using 
> G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all nautilus . >> ~/Desktop/trace_nautilus.log
I had a bit more information but nothing related to the crash
