Public bug reported: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS gdm version: 42.0-1ubuntu7.22.04.3
Hi all, minor bug but it is annoying for my ADHD ass. If I power on my PC, let it boot to ubuntu, and then immediately start typing my password, it accepts the password without me needing to click on my profile name at all. If I walk away before logging in, and come back to it asleep, when I wake it up, I have to click on the profile before I am able to enter my password. I am assuming the intended behavior is for it to always start accepting input when you start typing, just like Windows. I believe it is a bug that I need to click on the profile before it will register key inputs. ** Affects: gdm3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2027628 Title: First boot login doesn't capture keystrokes automatically if screen locks Status in gdm3 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS gdm version: 42.0-1ubuntu7.22.04.3 Hi all, minor bug but it is annoying for my ADHD ass.
