Andy, I released a tentative fix to the edge channel. If you want to try it, refresh your snap with
snap refresh --edge chromium Please note that a transition back to stable channel might not always be smooth (e.g. password storage can become incompatible), so you could generate a snapshot and then restore it[1] or also use parallel installs[2] to protect yourself against such problems.
