Thanks, confirmed and that's still an issue in 23.10. Could you perhaps report it upstream on https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/eog/-/issues ?
** Changed in: eog (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: eog (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to eog in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2030340 Title: Eye of Gnome eog can't properly print this jpg picture. Instead prints black page. Status in eog package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: So I have this jpg picture. When I try to print it using the "print" option in eog what I get is a page fully covered in black ink instead of a colorful image. GThumb for example is able to print the image correctly. I have no idea whether there is something wrong with the image file itself or the printing algorithm. Some of the image viewing programs that print this image correctly are: gthumb, shotwell, LXImage-qt. Some of the programs that can't print it correctly: eog, Loupe (flatpak), linuxmint's xviewer, eye of mate. original problematic image: https://i.postimg.cc/hc36QKFC/zlote-wybrzeze-czarnego-morza-4963-180570-468000-542x452.jpg how eog behaves: https://i.postimg.cc/fWQmTHMD/Screenshot-from-2023-08-07-01-18-12.png how gthumb behaves: https://i.postimg.cc/xQwKRdMh/Screenshot-from-2023-08-07-01-17-58.png ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 23.04 Package: eog 44.0-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.2.0-26.26-generic 6.2.13 Uname: Linux 6.2.0-26-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.26.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Mon Aug 7 01:00:54 2023 InstallationDate: Installed on 2022-12-13 (236 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 22.10 "Kinetic Kudu" - Release amd64 (20221020) SourcePackage: eog UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/2030340/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
