Yakov, I'm moving this to the gnome-session package and changing the status to 'Fix released' as you've not made any comment for a month now so presumably your problem has been fixed by an update.
Please feel free to comment further and re-open this bug report if the issues that you initially reported reappear in your Ubuntu installation. ** Package changed: ubuntu => gnome-session (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released ** Tags added: mantic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2036449 Title: gnome shell segfault in 23.10 after starting video playback Status in gnome-session package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Any hardware accelerated playback of video files causes shell to crash back into gdm Crashes are happening in telegram-desktop (Flatpak) built-in video player, and Clapper (deb), but not happening in Firefox on wayland (Flatpak) [ 454.452464] gnome-session-b[1997]: segfault at 7f3a9fd60ad4 ip 00007f3d82038c41 sp 00007ffc981243e8 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.7800.0[7f3d8200d000+34000] likely on CPU 6 (core 3, socket 0) Ubuntu 23.10, updated from 23.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/2036449/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
