The fix was in the apparmor package and not nautilus and that is
included in your updates list indeed, the fixed version finally migrated
out of the proposed pocket

  After recent updates on my Ubuntu Noble 24.04 nautilus does not show 
thumbnails of PDF and other image files.
  On a different partition same PC Ubuntu Noble 24.04 not recently updated 
image thumbnails are correctly displayed
