Title:
High CPU from gnome-shell when moving mouse

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Mouse starts stuttering/lagging. If I run `top` in the terminal, I can
see gnome-shell spike to 90%+ CPU usage when I move my mouse. If I
stop moving mouse, it will settle back down. Only 1 gnome-shell
extension installed (Unite), which I tried disabling, but stuttering
  didn't change.

Rebooting seems to resolve the mouse stuttering for a while. Problems
seems to arise when uptime is around 7-10 days.
