Instead of disabling the dock, just try:

  gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock show-mounts-
network false

and if that doesn't solve it then try:

  gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock show-mounts
false

Title:
  Losing Focus on Current Window

Status in gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Just recently I am now running into an issue
where a mounted drive keeps stealing focus of other windows. For
example I will be typing something in another application and the
mounted drive in the left column will 'bounce' and steal focus from
the window where I am typing.
