  Update-manager crashes when packages are de-selected with the mouse

Bug description:
  Update-manager crashes if packages are deselected with a mouse click.
  If the keyboard spacebar is used instead (with focus on the package
  name or whole line, not the checkbox) it doesn't crash.

  The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding 
update-manager.  This problem was most recently seen with package version 
1:23.10.1, the problem page at
