You should try reinstalling the 'ubuntu-desktop' package to include
everything... But also Ubuntu 23.10 is no longer supported as it reached
end of life on July 11, 2024.

  I typed in the console "sudo apt remove gnome-shell" I installed it
  again, but the thing was, that I cannot right access to my Ubuntu
  desktop settings
