Alert Sound not audible the first time

Bug description:
After enabling alerts for CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK, the alert sound
isn't audible the first time (if visual alert are enabled they are
always displayed). Afterwards if the caps/num lock are pressed again
within a short period of time the sound is played correctly. If the
time laps is long enough, the sound isn't played.
System: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
