Title:
Lock screen clock not centered when using a 12 hour / AM/PM clock
Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in gnome-shell source package in Noble:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
[ Summary ]
If you use a 12 hour or AM/PM clock, the lock screen clock is sometimes
misaligned with respect to the date below it - it's not centered.
I've noticed this problem on several distributions so far, using both the
default font (Cantarell) and with other fonts as well.
Coming from: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/6193
[ Test case ]
1. Enable AM/PM under Time Format (Settings --> Date & Time --> Time Format)
2. Lock the screen
3. The clock should be centered
Also check that the clock remains centered when the 24h format is
used.
[ Regression potential ]
Clock is not centered when using 24h-format.
