I have the same configuration here but can't reproduce the bug.
Please check that you don't have any custom shell extensions installed,
and remove them if so:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
rm -rf extensions
Then log in again.

Title:
Context Menus Locks Screen Interaction Until Manually Closed (Wayland
session)
Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Description:
When right-clicking on an item in Gnome Files (Nautilus), the context menu
appears as expected. However, after the menu is open, clicking outside the
Nautilus window (on the desktop or other applications) does not dismiss the
menu or allow interaction with other parts of the screen. The entire screen
becomes unresponsive except for the context menu itself. The only way to
restore functionality is to manually close the context menu.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Gnome Files (Nautilus).
2. Right-click on any file or folder to open the context menu.
3. Try clicking anywhere outside Nautilus (e.g., desktop, another app window).
4. Observe that the click is ignored, and the screen remains "locked" until
the context menu is closed.
Expected Behavior:
- Clicking outside the Nautilus window should dismiss the context menu.
- Other parts of the screen (desktop, applications) should remain interactive.
Actual Behavior:
- The context menu stays open, and the rest of the screen becomes unclickable.
- User must explicitly close the menu to regain control.
Workaround:
Click inside Nautilus to close the context menu and restore normal
interaction.
This bug does not appear in X11 session, just in a Wayland session.
