Path of Titans game mouse pan broken since -1ubuntu1.3 security update

Bug description:
I have been playing Path of Titans on Kubuntu 24.04 Wayland via the
developer's AppImage for over a year and it's been fine under
XWayland. Since the recent security update to xorg-server (xserver-
common:amd64 (2:21.1.12-1ubuntu1.2, 2:21.1.12-1ubuntu1.3) as shown in
apt's history.log) I am unable to pan my mouse. In-game this would be
simple mouse tracking, where the camera turns as the mouse is moved.
Now, when I move my mouse, the camera view can only wiggle and does
not rotate unless I take the mouse out of tracking mode in-game, click
and drag to pan my camera.
This is an XOrg/XWayland regression as the game did not have an update
between last playing and experiencing the bug, but Xorg did update.
Under an X11 session on Kubuntu, however, the game works fine. I am
not interested in reverting to X11 to play the game.
