** Bug watch added: Mozilla Bugzilla #1933529 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1933529 ** Changed in: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2098135 Title: can't set default columns and order Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: The default message column order is sub-optimal. (Too easy to hit the Junk button, resulting in having to figure out which oubliette the message was sent to, and having to undo that.) I can, manually, copy the column order to a hierarchy of message folders, which is good if I think of a better way to order the columns, but that's rare. The problem is that every time I create a new folder, the columns are set to the sub-optimal default. I then have to pick a folder that has my preferred column order (that's the easy part), and then figure out which part of the folder hierarchy the new folder is in and then copy the settings. Please make a way to set the default column order, which will be applied when new folders are created.
