Simmilar for me: It only appers with Ubuntu 12.04 Beta. But it would be
really announing if this bug would ship out with 12.04 LTS.

The bug does not apply on all wireless connections.

For me the connection was a "eduroam" network (roaming network in the
education and research area in whole Germany). In order to connect to
the network, you need to configure a "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise Security"
with a "Protected EAP". In order to do so, it schould be possible to
edit the connection, which is currently not possible.
