"There are many people who despise tap to click functionality" - which
is perfectly fine; choice being choice. But must they satify that
insatiable desire by elaborately checking a checkbox? Can't they just
*not* use it?

Title:
"Enable mouce click with touchpad" touchpad setting is superfluous

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
Given that user can simply choose not use this feature if he so
desires, presence of this setting seems superfluous. It requires
concious tapping which is very distinct to be not mixed up with
typical sliding on touchpad, so it's easy to just ignore this feature
  if not interested.
