Could you please attach the file /var/log/syslog ? This should include some
debug logs from "aptdaemon".
Could you also please try again and see if that problem is reproducableß

Trying to install a new version of Virtualbox and the 'wait' icon just
goes round and round! 10 minutes so far. I'm running 11.10. I expect
it to install the package.
