Title:
NetworkManager "connected" message is "masked" by other notifications

Status in One Hundred Paper Cuts:
  Confirmed
Status in Indicator Applet:
  Incomplete
Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
When NetworkManager informs the user that he is connected (wireless in
my case), the notification doesn't appear until all the other
  notifications disappear.

Example: While NM is connecting, GMail Notifier informs me that I have
mail. At the same time, the computer is connected to the network, but
I am not informed of this until the mail notification fades.
