Title:
  dont like setup of new system, but cant change it like last version

Bug description:
  when the start up screen comes up, i try and choose a setup that
  looked like the desktop version, like you could do with meercat. but
  with the latest version, it doesnt change it back, it just removes the
  side bar and status bars at the top, forcing me to shut the computer
  down manually. please help.
