Its possible you're seeing bug 905854 (Reinhard's is a bit older and
marked as fixed). but basically, indicator-multiload and unity dont get
a long.

Bug description:
  unity-panel-service took about 1,7 gb of ram.

  I don't know how to reproduce the bug. I think is related with the
  "screensaver", because it appens after a long (30 to 60 minutes)
  absence from the computer.
