Just as a side note, we've been increasingly using xdg-utils in
a number of projects, with great results.  It's encouraging that
the stock install of OpenSUSE has it, and that it's readily available as
a package for the Fedora and Debian worlds.

Further, the XFCE guys have done a great job making xdg-utils work
well, so as an XFCE user, it's nice that the software I'm building
works best on my desktop <grin>.

So, speaking as an ISV, I've felt that to be a positive change.
