Hi Marc, it was my driver in this case my blog has the info from my POV I do accept ATI also have a POV but i've no idea what it is as they don't communicate with me anymore. I won't be at OLS or DAM but we have a good model for interacting with the Linux community it is called source code and docs I wont point out your competitions ability to get it. Contrast Intels hiring of community members and using them for open source with ATIs practice of hiring community members and barring them from working on open source and you might be well placed to make a discovery of a future direction.
