At the DAM2 meeting in Mainz it was discussed that OSDL would set up an
audio and multimedia WG mailing list.

There is also a desktop audio and multimedia wiki that has been set up
for use by the community. Right now, it contains a little information
about audio requirements and links for some of the other multimedia
stuff, but it is basically a blank slate. Check it out:

Feel free to use the wiki and to forward the announcement of the mailing
list and wiki to the other audio and multimedia projects that are
interested in working on a common direction for Linux audio and
multimedia. It is still not clear where the momentum for this will come
from in the community. This is a great time and venue to make a case
for a multimedia framework or at least a set of common interfaces.

Cheers,

John Cherry
