“non-Unix” was poor wording. What I was trying to imply was the fact that the commit message described what was done, but not what or what could be gained after the commit. If I tried explaining this information to someone who had no idea what terminfo was, they would be puzzled about what was gained through this commit. Put differently: if I had to explain to my non-technical friends what I was doing with this commit message alone, I would probably receive very puzzled looks from them.
