While we don't use BC at the moment, but you could phase out support for .NET < 
4.0 starting from BC 1.8 or 2.0. That way current projects still on legacy 
versions can stay there and the core team can spend their valuable time and 
brainpower on future improvements than  on continuous legacy support.
