If I get you rightly, not exactly, because I commented out the lines
that start "grab service" ( at
http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla1.8/source/widget/src/gtk2/nsDragService.cpp#192
) so panning are activated even from images, links and so on ... loads
are being prevented via open_uri gtkmozembed callback ...
