Hi,

If I'm using a GRE that does not have a Flash plug-in installed, navigating
to
http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.sohu.com/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dnews.sohu.com%26hl%3Den
shows the page, pops up an empty advertisement window (by invoking our
nsIWindowCreator2) that contains Flash content , and displays a prompter
saying "the Flash plug-in is not installed, click OK to download it". This
behaviour seems good, and matches what stand-alone Mozilla has always done.
(I chose this URL only because it always seems to have a Flash advertisement
window).

However if the GRE is a XULRunner 1.8.0.x then our nsIWindowCreator2 never
gets invoked, and the "the Flash plug-in is not installed..." prompter is
not shown. What is surprising about this change in particular is that the
behaviour from the first paragraph seems to have returned in the XULRunner
1.8.x stream. Is there a different way to handle a scenario like this in
the XULRunner 1.8.0.x stream, rather than just silently ignoring the
advertisement window?

Thanks in advance,
Grant
