Hi All,
Julie and I are experimenting with a new format for these FxA summary
emails, grouping items explicitly by feature. Please share any feedback
you might have about how it works relative to the previous format.
So: last week we shipped FxA train-86 to production, with the following
highlights:
SMS install link (Phase 2)

Corrected our SMS control group to improve accuracy and clarity of our
metrics.

Added ability to rate limit per account SMS actions
-
Provided ability to test SMS with Romanian and Great Britain phone
numbers
Add additional emails (Phase 1)

Ensured that if the additional email address a user tries to add to a
verified account is the same email address used for an existing account
that’s remained unverified for longer than 24 hours, then the existing,
unverified account is deleted and the email address is permitted to be
added to the verified account.

Improved error-handling and messaging around several edge-cases of
adding a secondary email, based on feedback from Softvision testing.

Added rate-limiting to all endpoints that send emails for the add
secondary email feature.
Device Manager Quality

Use new device- and platform-specific SVG icons in the Devices & Apps
section in Settings
We also made the following improvements:
DevOps

Removed gravatar because very few users were using it

Removed separate notifier process in the auth-server
Dockerflow
-
Added ability to automtically deploy from feature branches, if they
follow a specific naming convention.

Used official node image and updated node.js to v4.8.2
-
The oauth-server is now deployed via dockerflow
