Hello,

I am very pleased to announce that we have just enabled Firefox Sync for
Firefox OS phones in master \o/.

Foxfooders should be able to start using Firefox Sync on their phones after
installing the next OTA.

As you may know, we already enabled Firefox Sync on Firefox OS TVs with
read-only bookmarks and history synchronization. For now, we are only
enabling history synchronization in read-only mode on phones. Bookmarks and
read-write synchronization will come very soon along with other collections
like passwords or forms data.

If you are new to Sync, you will first need to set it up on your desktop
computer running Firefox, your Firefox for Android or Firefox for iOS.
After you have successfully set up Sync on one of these platforms, you can
then proceed to set up Sync on your Firefox OS phone. This limitation will
be removed once we have read-write synchronization.

Take into account that foxfooders will initially be using a dev instance of
the Syncto server [1], which is the proxy that we have between Firefox OS
devices and Sync servers. This is not a monitored server, so there might be
some unexpected issues on the service.

We are eagerly looking for early feedback, so please, give it a chance and
file any issue that you find blocking this meta bug [2].

Finally, I'd like to thanks to everyone involved in this project for the
great effort made here. Especially the Data Sync and Cloud Services teams,
who along with Sync, are working on other exciting projects for Firefox OS
[3]. I invite you to subscribe to the dev-fxos-sync list [4] if you want to
follow the progress of these projects.

Cheers!

/ Fernando
