Hey Connected Devices and FxOS people, I'd like to start a discussion around updating the Web Bluetooth API.
In reality, we are the only consumers of the API as it's implemented in FxOS right now. However, there are some really useful things in there that developers could build useful things from right now, if they were really on the web. The CG are actively working on a spec for Bluetooth, which is implemented in Chrome 45 behind a pref. ( https://webbluetoothcg.github.io/web-bluetooth/) This spec is a bit different from what we have. Should we seize the opportunity to update our API so we can follow along and participate in the CG as implementers bringing it to Fennec behind a pref? Sam
