Maybe we should start another thread not to pollute this one ;-)
But in short, yes, I'm pursuing two "projects" to support FxOS > 2.0 on 6015X:
- manually "shallow-flashing" Flame-KK Gecko/Gaia components; this works pretty
well as Flame and Fire E devices seem very close. You can run this way FxOS
2.1, 2.2r (_not_ 2.2), 2.5 and master (2.6) without too much issues;
- creating a configuration tree to build B2G. I have nothing public at the
moment, because I'm far from satisfied with my results.
In both cases, major difficulties are that (i) Alcatel didn't provide the
source code for FxOS 2.0 (they've provided source code for FxOS 1.3 [1] though)
and (ii) FxOS is spanned across two separate partitions on Fire E device
(/system and /custpack), thus needing two distinct system.img and custpack.img
build images, thus requiring to modify the build system which I really don't
know where to start from.
