Hi again.

I just cheked and the ./config.sh say:
- aries (Z3 Compact KK)
- aries-l (Z3 Compact L)

So I used the right commando, should I flash android-lp and then try to compile
using aries-lp?

Regards!

Hi Ben!

I just compiled for the Z3C but after the "Xperia" screen I just got a black
screen.

This is the logcat. http://mexmod.com/test/aries_bg2os.txt

I used the instructions from here
https://wiki.mozilla.org/B2G/Transition_Project#Building_the_Transition_Branches

My image base was kk , but I used just ./config.sh aries, should I use
./config.sh aries-kk ? This apply for kaninaki/pine or is just for gaia/gecko?

If anyone needs the result images/files I can share it tomorrow.

Regards!!

Hi all,

If you'd like to contribute to the B2G OS Transition Project it should now be
possible for you to build and flash the transition branch of B2G onto an aries
(Sony Z3C) device and get it to boot. Please see the wiki for some basic
instructions. (tl;dr: you need to build B2G with the pine branch of Gecko and
kanikani branch of Gaia).

This should get you booted to the homescreen with a search bar, but not a lot
else. We need your help to start to get things working with the new streamlined
B2G architecture! For front end development you should also be able to get
Mulet running with the transition branches with a few hacks, Alex is working on
removing the need for those hacks. Work on getting working nightly builds is
ongoing.

If you'd like to learn more about this project then see the slides of the B2G
OS Transition Project kickoff. We're working towards a radically simplified and
more webby B2G architecture which is closer to the Firefox browser and embraces
new web standards.

As always, if you need help head over to #fxos on IRC or ask on this mailing
list. We have public meetings every Tuesday.

Thanks!

Ben
