I didn't find evidences of work on this in the above links, but flashing
Gecko/Gaia of my Fire E device now logs the following error:
E/Adreno-SC( 215): <CPPShInfoLogMsg:837>: GLSL line 1: Error: extension
'GL_ARB_texture_rectangle' is not supported
I don't know if this is just noise or if GL_ARB_texture_rectangle extension is
indeed unsupported now, but I've never seen this error with previous FxOS
releases.
I don't know if it's related, but I've noticed some refresh artifacts when
quickly going back and forth in e.g. the various Settings menu. The horizontal
scrolling between the menus, while still smooth, shows some kind of "background
tiles" that are progressively redrawn. The redraw is very very but nevertheless
noticeable. I've never seen this before with previous FxOS releases either.
Do people with Flame device also noticed the above GLSL error and refresh
artifacts?
Émeric
