Hi,

What's the current _functional_ status of the transition branches on Flame?

As I don't own a Flame device, I'm sort of hacking B2G OS on my Fire E device.
So, I've successfully built the transition branches using flame-kk config. I've
then modified and flashed my system.img and custpack.img images, adapting the
steps that I've described in [1].

All seems fine: phone boots up correctly, display is working, I can see the
boot animation and so on. But at the end of initial boot, rather than starting
up the "first boot procedure", I'm directly sent to the home screen. Everything
is configured in English U.S. by default if it matters. I can unlock the home
screen, but from there, I have nothing (no application icon) but the background
wallpaper and a search address at the top. I can slide laterally to go to the
"pin-up sites" pages, but that's all. Looking at logcat output, I didn't find
much errors/warnings (or showstoppers) than with FxOS 2.2r that runs fine on my
Fire E.

Is this expected functionally-wise with current status of pine/kanikani
branches?

BTW, I'm still trying out to create an appropriate B2G OS configuration for
Fire E device.

Thanks,

     Émeric
