Hi Emmanuel,

no, I am not really worried about that we haven't been accepted for GSoC. They get tons of applications every year, many from well-known projects that have already done GSoC and even more from small or new project applying for the first time. In sum many more applications then they have money to spend on GSoC.

I think it is a part of a maturation process that we have to go through until we once will be accepted. That was the reason why I wanted to start with it so early.

Anyway, as you said the work is not for nothing. I have the whole process documented in our wiki, so we can take over most of the stuff prepared to the next year.

Have all a great weekend!

Hi Manuel Schneider,

Thank you for submitting "openZIM" organization application to Google
Summer of Code 2010. Unfortunately, we were unable to accept your
organization's application at this time. We received many more
applications for the program than we are able to accommodate, and we
would encourage you to reapply for future instances of the program.

Best regards,
Google Open Source Programs

Echt schade :(

Thank you very much for having tried to get a Google grant.
The work on the candidature is in any case not lost and hope will be reused
next year.

Emmanuel
